Presentaties
Nesses artistieke programma Being in the World (2024-2027) benadrukt het belang van betrokkenheid bij de sociale en ecologische realiteiten om ons heen. Nesse brengt met het residentieprogramma, de werkruimtes en presentaties gedeelde ruimtes tot stand, plekken voor ontmoeting en dialoog.
Met de drie programmalijnen Food and Industry, Sources of Energy en Learning from the Stream nodigen we kunstenaars en ontwerpers uit die zich in hun praktijk verhouden tot wereldlijke vraagstukken binnen de context van Terneuzen. Een stad gelegen aan de Westerschelde, aan het kanaal van Gent-Terneuzen en omringt door industrie en landbouwpercelen. De programmalijnen vormen het uitgangspunt van talloze ontwikkelingstrajecten en krijgen concreet vorm in twee jaarlijkse presentatieprojecten die plaatsvinden in (semi-)publieke ruimtes in en rond Terneuzen.
Presentations
Nesse’s artistic programme ‘Being in the World’ (2024–2027) emphasises the importance of engagement with the social and ecological realities around us. Through its presentations, Nesse creates shared spaces—places for encounter and dialogue.
With the programme lines Food and Industry, Sources of Energy, and Learning from the Stream, we invite artists and designers to address worldly issues within the context of Terneuzen, a city located on the Western Scheldt, along the Ghent-Terneuzen Canal, and surrounded by industry and agricultural fields. These lines define our ways of Being in the World and are further developed into two yearly presentation projects that take place in (semi-)public spaces in and around Terneuzen.
